Skilled Nursing Services
Medical, therapeutic, and personal care are central components of resident services. Activities contribute equally to the well-being and quality of life for residents. Complementary therapies are available to interested individuals. Pastoral care services from chaplaincy visits five days a week, twice-weekly Lutheran worship, Friday Catholic mass, bible studies, and of course, visitation from many community pastors provide support and quality of life for many residents.
Assisted Living
Josephine provides comprehensive residential care in Josephine Suites. Residents receive three meals per day, housekeeping and laundry services, and a specifically tailored activities schedule. The Suites are staffed 24 hours a day by certified nursing assistants who provide personal care assistance based on individual needs. In addition, a nurse is available 24 hours a day. Each suite features a private bath and kitchenette.
Adult Day Program
Many family members are caring for a loved one with
special needs in their home. Josephine Adult Day Program assists these families
by providing their loved one with quality time and quality care, giving the
caregiver a well-needed rest. Josephine’s Adult Day Program provides meals, social
interaction, medication administration, and personal care in a safe and
stimulating environment. Adult day care services are available from
Montessori Preschool
The “Montessori method” is an educational method for teaching children, based on theories of child development originated by Italian educator, Maria Montessori, in the late 19th and early 20th century. Josephine offers a Montessori preschool experience with trained Montessori staff.
Child Care Services
The Josephine Intergenerational Learning Center serves infants, toddlers, and school age children from our community. The Learning Center provides a wide range of child care services ranging from infant day care, preschool learning, after school care, and ECEAP Preschool. The Learning Center program is integrated throughout our building with four designated classroom spaces and shared dining room, dayroom, and activity areas. Josephine manages the Stanwood ECEAP, a state-funded preschool for 4-year-old children from families with limited incomes. Children are integral to our ministry. They learn important lessons from residents, while at the same time, enriching and energizing the life of our home.
Care Team Ministries
Care Team Ministry responds, free of charge, to the non-medical quality of life needs of individuals not routinely provided by existing social service programs. Care teams, staffed by volunteers from area churches, provide respite care for overburdened home care givers, socialization for frail elderly, and individualized support for anyone with special needs. Care teams are supported by Josephine staff, who provide training and encouragement.
Pastoral Care Team
The Josephine Pastoral Care Team provides nurturing care for the spirit and soul of Josephine ... it's residents. This enables Josephine to care for the entire person ... not just their body. The team is critical to the fulfillment of our mission statement.
