Josephine Daily Activities

The Programs Activity staff assists the residents with a wide variety of daily activities. These activities are designed to meet their social as well as physical needs. There is an activity staff member assigned to each unit. The staff member invites the resident to join in activities which are of special interest to the resident.

Each day of the week, there are different activities. Some of the activities are held in the Multi-Purpose room, while other activities are performed "on unit" in the Josephine units. Often the activities are of a one-on-one nature between the resident and the activity staff.

The list of activities range from foot massages, hand care, bingo, hymns & devotions, religious services, bowling, balloon volleyball, ceramics, movies, and the 3:00pm Social Hour.

Each day the staff assists the residents in attending the 3:00pm Social Hour. This is a time for light refreshments and social interaction. Very often there are volunteers who provide musical entertainment as well.

There is a monthly calendar of planned activities for each month. This calendar includes both Daily Activities and Monthly Activities.
